Frenaros has a small altitude annually which comes to 337 millimeters. But the village is situated in the area of the water wagon layer of the south east Mesaorias or the Kokinohorion which is the second biggest water wagon layer of Cyprus. In this area a lot of drillings have been made whose utilization contributed to the irrigation of important plots.

On the fertile ground of the village there is cultivation of a variety of vegetables like potatoes water melons, melons, onions, artichokes, tomatoes, cucumbers, cabbage, carrots, celery, cauliflowers and others. The main product of the village though is potato whose cultivation is well favored from the climatologic and pedologic conditions.Frenaros was early specialized in potato growing and was one of the most productive villages of potatoes in Cyprus. Except from the vegetables in the village there are the citrus fruits, cereals user's plants, legumes (broad beans and beans) pomegranates and a few figs.

Frenaros just like the other kokkinohoria confronts a problem of water for the irrigation of the expanded watered cultivations especially those of the vegetables and citrus fruits. As a result of the too much use and exploitation there was an inflow of sea water in great depth in the water wagon layer and many drillings have been deserted .The application of the plan of the South Canal, the biggest watered work that has been ever done in Cyprus, decreased the problem of water in the area of Kokkinohoria with the irrigation of many plots from transformation of water from the dam of Kourri which is in Limassol district.

Cattle - breeding was one of the main professions that kept the residents of the village busy . The farms were inside the village .Today there are modern cattle breeding units.

Apart from Agriculture and cattle breeding a big part of the economically energetic population of the village works in other departments like commerce, hotels, restaurants, constructions, services, transport and communications and industries. The main types of industry that were developed are the construction of wooden furniture, the solar heater, mosaics, car body, refrigerators, machine shops, and foundries. In the area village there are two industrial zones.
