The council of communal welfare of Phrenaros was founded in 1977.It is in the space of the communal council of Phrenaros. Aims of the C.C.W of Phrenaros are: - The pointing out of the community's needs and the promotion of the demanding services. -The mobilization of the community's members to participate in the development and the improvement of the quality of life. - The enlightenment and the education of the people on the already existent social needs and services.Targets and programme: - lectures /seminars planning with the aim to expand the work of enlightenment and informing of social subjects. - The takeover of those activities that enhance the development of the community's welfare. For this cause there is :- Kindergarten and nursery - Center of protection and pastime for children (children club)- In the programme of C.C.W of Phrenaros there are about 100 children of Pre School and school age. For the needs of these programmes there are seven teachers. - The incomes of the C.C.W come from the board charges, state allowance and from several shows and contributions. Our direct and superior aim is to improve and enhance the programmes of C.C.W and always in cooperation with the District Welfare Office.

Parents’ Assoc. of public kindergarten

The Athletic union Olympias of Phrenaros is one of the two unions that exist in the village of Phrenaros.

Aims and objectives of the union were:
1. The maintenance of the friendly and brotherly bonds between the members of the union the residents of the village and the nearby area.
2. The participation of the members to any kind of activities that had to do with the promotion of any legal aim in the village.
3. The spiritual, moral, cultural development of the members and the residents of the village with the organization of dancing and musical shows, lectures , Theatrical performances and anything else that could offer entertainment to the members.
4. The promotion of Sports by creating a football and volleyball teams in order to keep the young people busy and their participation in the Cyprus championships.
The football team of the union after fighting for many years in the championships of the Cyprus Athletic Organization, united with team of the union FOTEAKOS creating the team of F.C.2000 which is fighting in the championship of the C league. The volleyball team continues to play in the B  league championship.
The union OLYMPIAS, during the Turkish invasion in 1974 lost four and active members, Nico Tofi, Giasoumi Kille, Theodoro Tsommalouri and Louka Tsiolaki who until today are in the list of the missing people except from Nicos Tofis who was identified as dead and his annual memorial take place on the first Sunday of October from the communal council of Phrenaros.
One more active member of the union of OLYMPIΑS who was lost is Neofytos Poullos who was honored from many people for his altruistic action because he had given his life to save someone from drawing in the sea without thinking that he would be apart from his wife and two children.

''Foteakos of Phrenaros' functions as a union in the community having the basic objectives:
1.The production and the development of sports
2. The moral spiritual cultural and National development of the members.

The objectives will be achieved via:
· lectures
· Music
· newspaper reading and useful magazines and books
· Sports

Flashback:
The union began to function in 1942 with the name READING ROOM OF HELLAS .In 1994 after it has been removed to several places in the community it was name PEK of Phrenaros.
In 1948 after a permission that was given by the ever memorable Archbishop of Cyprus Makarios the second the current union (building) is built with a raise fund and personal work of the members is called as Θ.Ο.Ι. (Religious Orthodox Institution) - Π.Ε.Κ.
In 1958, after the sacrifice of the hero teacher of our community Photi Pitta in the barn of Liopetri, it is decided to be given the name FOTEAKOS as a mark of honor to the hero of our community.
The union functions and serves the objectives for which it was founded until today with great success contributing to the community any way possible.

The union of hunting of Phrenaros was founded in 1965 as a result of the intense activity and love of the residents to the sport which is called hunting.It has been activated more intensely in the last seven years and plays an important role in the hunting affairs of the area and the whole island through the collective organs of the union. This year it is honoured to have as a president of the provincial committee KOK & ΔΑΖ, the president of the hunting union of Phrenaros Mr Giorgio Giatrou.
